We understand the importance of a fair and transparent refund and returns policy for both freelancers and clients. Here’s a clear and equitable policy that ensures a positive experience for everyone involved:

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery


Once your return is discussed and investigated, we will send you an email to notify you to that effect. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

  1. Client Satisfaction Guarantee: At Gigz, we prioritize client satisfaction. If a client is dissatisfied with the quality of work delivered by a freelancer and believes that it does not meet the agreed-upon requirements, they can request a refund.

  2. Mediation and Resolution: In case of a dispute, Gigz will act as a mediator to understand both the client’s and freelancer’s perspectives. We aim to find an amicable resolution that satisfies both parties.

  3. Deadline-Based Refunds: If a freelancer fails to deliver the work within the agreed-upon deadline and the delay is not mutually accepted or caused by exceptional circumstances, the client is eligible for a full or partial refund.

  4. Quality Assurance: Gigz maintains a high standard of quality for services offered on the platform. If a delivered work significantly deviates from the agreed-upon requirements or is substandard, the client may request a refund.

  5. Escrow Protection: To protect both parties, Gigz uses an escrow system where the client deposits the agreed-upon payment. The payment will be released to the freelancer only upon the client’s approval of the delivered work.

  6. Cancellation Policy: If either the client or freelancer initiates the cancellation of a project before its completion, the refund amount will be determined based on the work completed and any mutually agreed-upon terms.

  7. Prompt Resolution: We strive to resolve refund requests promptly. Clients are encouraged to raise concerns within a reasonable time frame after the work delivery.

  8. Transparent Communication: Open and honest communication is crucial for successful resolution. Clients and freelancers are encouraged to communicate openly about any issues they encounter.

It is important to note that while Gigz aims to provide a fair refund and returns policy, we also expect clients and freelancers to act responsibly and professionally in their interactions. Frequent misuse or abuse of the refund policy may lead to appropriate actions being taken.
